Abbey

I was just sitting here reading Abbey's blog (a link from our page). If anyone has not looked at her blog from our page, please take a moment and check it out. She is a 3 year old little girl going thru so much. It makes me think of how lucky I am that we have healthy little girls. Times get tough, but I can't imagine if something happened to my kids. Shelley (Abbey's mom) is so strong and full of faith, it renews mine every time I read. Please pray for the Colbert Family.

Update

For those of you that have not heard, Jack has taken a turn for the worse. Johnny is headed back to Florida this week to see him. He was admitted Friday into the Hospice facility. After a long, hard fight it looks as though Cancer may win this battle. Please keep him and the rest of our family in your thoughts and prayers through this very difficult time.

Jack

Just an FYI- Jack is back in the hospital. He does not have a big appetite, so the drs. are going to try and help him out with his nutrition. They are running tests today. Maybe we will see if the last round of chemo had any success.

Melanoma bracelets

I ordered a bunch of the black rubber melanoma awareness bracelets a few weeks ago. I just received them in the mail. If anyone would like one please let me know. Everyone can wear one and remind us of Jack when we look at it. He is trying to get his strength back up.

Kennedy's Soccer Season

We are very excited. Kennedy just finished up her second soccer season. And wow! was it a great season. Johnny and his friend Jason from high school were the coaches this year. The season started out slow for Kennedy-sometimes she wanted to play and others she didnt. Then she made great friends with a little girl named Alayna (she wears glasses too!). These two girls played great together. While Johnny was in Florida Kennedy scored her first goal of the season. She missed the next game due to bonchitis. The following game she scored another goal. Then for her last game this past Saturday, she was a champ. Kennedy scored the first 4 goals of the game. She was playing great defense and dribbling the ball all the way down the field. In the last play of the game she scored the final goal of the season. This brought her total for the day to 7!!! We were so proud of her!!!! It's amazing how much improvement she can make in 6 weeks. She is very excited for Spring Soccer.

Jack

I thought I would take a minute and give a brief update on Jack. As most of you probably know, Johnny and his bothers and sister recently took a trip to visit their dad. He was admitted into the hospital and they began a new for of chemo. This treatment is given for 5 days and then he is sent home. Jack was able to successfully finish the 1st round of treament and will be starting his second round on October 21st. Until then he is at home with Terri.

1st Blog Posting

So I am very new to "blogging." As more and more of our friends have family blog, I thought it would be a good idea to keep our friends and family up to date with what we are doing. My plan is to try and post pics of the girls and give updates as to what's going on. Don't know how good I will be at this so keep peeking back and see us.
Kennedy is in her 2nd year of Lollipop Preschool. She is going to school 4 days a week for 2 1/2 hours. She loves it!! Along with her PreK class, she also just began Spanish classes on Fridays at her school. We are a very involved family at Lollipop. I was elected President for the school year so I am very busy with that. Kennedy is also finishing up her 2nd season of soccer. johnny was her coach this year so they had a lot of fun with that. She is also taking her 2nd year of dance at Center Stage. She takes jazz, tap, ballet, and acro. I know, I know...she is a busy little girl! By choice- she would do it all if we would let her.
Reagan just turned a year and a half and is an ornary as every. She is our little explorere who gets into everything. She is Kennedy's little tagalong. She just goes from activity to activity with me and Ken like a little trooper. Soon enough if will be her turn to get involved.

As for Johnny and I, we are staying busy with Romito's and the girls.
